OPENING SESSION

Keynote: Rudy Giuliani
- 107th Mayor of New York City

In 1993, Rudy Giuliani was elected Mayor of the City of New York. Campaigning on the slogan "One City, One Standard," he focused on reducing crime, reforming welfare, and improving the quality of life.

Under Mayor Giuliani's leadership, overall crime was cut by 56%, murder was cut by 66%, and New York City—once considered the crime capital of the country—became the safest large city in America. Mayor Giuliani implemented the largest and most successful welfare-to-work initiative in the country, turning welfare offices into Job Centers and reducing welfare rolls by 640,000—nearly 60%. On September 11, 2001, America suffered the worst attack in its history when terrorists crashed planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. Having narrowly missed being crushed when the Towers fell, Mayor Giuliani immediately began leading the recovery of the city as it faced its darkest hour.

In 2002, Mr. Giuliani founded Giuliani Partners, a professional services firm specializing in emergency preparedness, public safety, leadership during crises, and financial management. Currently, Mayor Giuliani serves as a Senior Advisor to Greenberg Traurig's Executive Chairman and as the Chair of the Cybersecurity, Privacy and Crisis Management Practice.

LADIES' LUNCHEON

Olympian: Noelle Pikus Pace
- 2014 Olympic Silver Medalist for Skeleton

On February 15, 2014, Noelle Pikus Pace crossed the finish line of the skeleton finals at the Sochi Olympic Games, putting an emphatic exclamation point on a 15-year journey chasing the Olympic podium. The Olympic medal that she and her family, together, had chased around the world, for years, was finally theirs. Noelle leapt into the stands, into the arms of her husband, and into the hearts of America in one of the iconic, heartfelt moments of the XXII Olympic Winter Games. It had taken Noelle 15 very determined years to reach the Olympic podium. Along the way she became the most decorated American athlete in the history of the sport, and was the first American woman to become World Champion in Skeleton, and to win the overall World Cup Championship.
